Classrooms
For conducting the theoretical courses, the Department of Computer Science and Telecommunications is using the ground floor of the new building A (building PBA). Also alternatively is used the Auditorium of the Department of Sciences of STEF. On the announcement board of the Department, located out of the Secretary of Computer Science and Telecommunications ιs displayed the timetable of each semester showing the lecture rooms of each course as well as relevant map.
Laboratories
The department of Computer Science & Telecommunications has six (6) well-organized laboratories, four of twenty (20) seats each, and two of thirty (30) seats for the exclusive use of students of the Department. The four of them are equipped with PC Pentium (Pentium IV@2.6 GHz, 40GB HD, FDD, 1028 MB Ram, DVD Drive, 15''TFT LCD with in-built speakers) and dual boot operating system Windows XP / Linux, while the two of them are equipped with PCs of latest technology (Intel C2D E6550 2.33GHz, 160GB HD, 2xDDR2 1GB RAM, 17''TFT LCD). The laboratories are equipped with many software packages such as Matlab, Jcreator, SWI-Prolog, Rational Rose, Visual Studio, Director, mySQL Multisim, MaxPlus, Optiwave 3.0, Ethereal. Also provided laser network printers to serve the students and audiovisual media, such as illumination boxes and projectors to facilitate teaching the course. All PCs have access to internet and intranet of the Department where students can connect from the premises of laboratories and also from their home and watch remotely a variety of on-line courses for all courses of the Department, such as computer architecture, programming languages, databases, telecommunications, computer networks, etc. Local networks and services provided in the computer labs of the Department of Computer Science & Telecommunications are supported by five (5) servers (servers) and connected via fiber optic cable to the main network of TEI making them one of the best - in terms of equipment - labs in academic institution in Greece.
